Entrepreneurship Is it In You? Don't worry...this site is not about Websters or Wikpedia’s definition of Entrepreneurship or that of a Harvard Economist. What I hope to do is to challenge your current thinking and mindset regarding what is required to be a successful entrepreneur which requires developing a positive thinking , and a positive attitude internet business mindset. Start thinking of Yourself as an Entrepreneur NOT as an Employee.... I firmly believe the reason most start up business ventures, and home businesses fail is that you have to develop the proper entrepreneur mindset in your work at home business.
.....BUT..... you also need to start thinking of yourself as an entrepreneur and not that of an employee (if you still are an employee). You must think outside of the box. When you think of the word entrepreneur, who do you picture or see in your mind’s eye? Oprah, Microsoft’s Bill Gates, Apple’s Steve Jobs, to name a select few.... etc. What unique attributes and qualities do these three people have when compared to the rest of the population? 1: Attitude: and Driving Ambition You see these three individuals and thousands others not mentioned here) have a millionaire mindset and know the secret in how to succeed You have to believe it before you can achieve it.. is so…true…What is the difference between success and the many failures , that most people in life experience you may ask? It’s your attitude. If you believe you have already failed before you even begin a task-guess what…you just failed end of story. You must develop a positive attitude by thinking differently, embracing a positive thinking mindset. Entrepreneurs set massive smart goals for themselves and stay committed to achieving them regardless of the obstacles that get in the way..... and.... regardless of the time that it takes. 2: Strong Driving Faith You have to have the hope and Faith in God, and in your God given abilities, and having the determination to succeed; knowing that there will be setbacks. Contrary to public opinion, there does not exist an easy button to entrepreneurship-it takes hard work, self motivation, self discipline and commitment, and a whole lot of self confidence. But if you have the drive, motivation, ambition, and proper attitude and set your goals accordingly, there is no limit to what you can do. Remember: The only limits in life-are the ones you Restrict and Put on Yourself… 3: Be Open and Creative to New Ideas/Technology: Think about the internet for a moment, prior to 1990-the internet for most people was not even in existence. Whoever would have thought that in the course of 10 years-such global economic powerhouses, such as GOOGLE, YAHOO, Amazon.com, and Expedia and Expedia , and thousands of countless others, would be house-hold names, generating billions of dollars annually for their respective companies and shareholders from the internet? The entrepreneurs behind these successful companies had the creative visualization in seeing the bigger picture, and realized the tremendous economic and financial potential by making their respective companies public (IPOs), and harnessing the power and leverage of the internet for e-commerce ventures. As human beings, we are all creatures of habit. You have set rituals, you wake up at a certain time. You eat at a certain time, shower or bathe at a certain time. You go to work at a certain time and go to bed at a certain time-only to repeat the already too mundane process all over again for the next day. However when you have to change your normal daily routine for whatever reason-you are hesitant or reluctant because you are too ritualistic in your routine. You’ve always done your routine a certain way-so why should you have to change now you ask? Entrepreneurship, in owing your own work at home business , or home business is no different. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, over 50% of small businesses fail within the first year and 95% fail within the first five years. These are sobering statistics when contemplating your own home business, internet business or conventional mortar and stone business. However a significant percentage of these entrepreneurship failures can be directly related to the element of change in how quickly or not you accept change in your business. 5: Strong Competitive Nature to Succeed: This is probably the strongest attribute of all successful entrepreneurs-the competitive nature to never give up. Do you realize it took Thomas Edison over 14,000 times before he perfected the light bulb? Think where our human society would still be had he given up at his 5th or 10th failure attempt? Our world would be far much different today had he not stayed in the race and his eye on the prize! 5: Highly Motivation Level: It goes without saying, but all the very successful entrepreneurs possess a high level of motivation. There is no room for slackers , and procrastination , at the very coveted top… It takes a different positive thinking mindset, and a genuine willingness and desire on your part to want to succeed in accomplishing your smart goals in life. 6. Be Willing to Accept and Embrace Criticism and Rejection: So you want to start your own business-right? Guess what…it’s a tough dog eat dog world out there where only the strong survive. I say only the smart survive. If you are smart enough, and can learn from your mistakes (and believe me you will make many) just as I have done in my previous business experiences. Important Tips You Need to Know Before Identifying The Right Business Opportunity...
1.Research completely the Opportunity before you Buy: This is really common sense, but from my personal experience I have been burned way too many times with get rich schemes which were nothing more than that. However I am wiser from those experiences and believe I can speak from practical experience of what you need to know before you commit. Just make sure you use your own judgement in your decision making before you jump. Remember: If the opportunity is too good to be true, more than likely it probably is and you should strongly consider other viable entrepreneurial options. 2. Does the Product have True, Meaningful and Lasting Value? You have to understand completely the product you will be eventually selling to your potential customers. This is common sense-but deserves further clarification. If you are selling a product you have real reservation in its value , how in the world are you going to be successful , in selling something that you wouldn’t purchase yourself? You have to understand the inherent value of the product inside and out and to be able to articulate its value added benefit with honesty , and clear and concise business communication to your potential buying customers. With all the on-line and off-line get rich schemes these days-you have to really be vigilant and cautious with many of these opportunities which many are nothing more than recruiting pyramid ponzi schemes which are illegal. You have to ask yourself; after removing all the various on-going fees ,which are usually monthly and could include membership fees, web-hosting fees, e-mail fees, phone/fax fees, merchant account fees, drop-shipping fees, and marketing/advertising costs, after all these fees are removed from your monhtly expenses, does the product stand alone and have real beneficial value? If you can’t answer that question positively-than more than likely what you’ve just signed up for is buying into a recruiting system which is the illegal ponzi scheme I mentioned. I should know as I unknowingly bought into several such programs years ago that cost me nearly $10,000 US.
3. You need to Understand Your total Monthly Expenses: Again this is common sense, but the reason I believe many small home based businesses fail is people not understanding the product, and secondly, not understanding the total monthly expenses you will need in reserve just to stay in business. If you’re considering buying into a franchise like McDonald’s or Pizza Hut , you can expect substantial franchise fees which could be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars just to play the game! And this is before you have even earned a nickel for your efforts. Yes these companies have perfected the business system model which you will replicate-but do you realize that your ROI return of investment for purchasing franchise type business opportunities are 2-3 years down the road? You need to plan for your living expenses for up to 3 years, plus your business operating costs, hiring staff, etc, knowing you will not get paid a dime for up to three years. Not many people I know or you probably know have that type of start-up capital.

That's right..you then check out several of the searched terms for relevance. You check out the website layout, how easy is it to navigate around the site, etc. Did the website deliver for you what you were searching for? If it did, you explore the site further eventually clicking on links or ads on the site regarding relevance of the item that you are seeking. Then if everything meets your satisfactory, you may sign up for a news letter, or actually purchase a product or service that the merchant is offering. If the site does not deliver, you then explore other sites that meet the same search criteria. PRESELL: OK..you've got a great content quality website, you're starting to see an uptick in your traffic stats, now what? Now you've got to "Presell" your website visitors with what you are offering? You need to warm them up to your most sought after product or service (the sale). What is your "strong brand of one that is unique to just you-you're unique selling voice? You'll have to figure this out but you have to warm up your potential customers what you are offering them through your value laden professional services, or you can sell others' products, or advertise for other merchants.
