Failures in Life Are Diamonds in the Rough For Personal Growth

failures

Failures are unfortunately a fact of reality and a part of human life that everyone of us has gone through sometime during our lives in our personal development; To Err Is Human...To Fail is Expected...

You probably have failed many times in your life-whether it be a failed in what you thought were successful relationships , your once happy marriage that is no more.

Or maybe you've failed at work in your career goals pursuits, or your own work at home business.

The fact is failure weighs heavy on everyone of us, nobody likes to be told that they are a failure, a big zero in your life.

Failing is hard to accept and probably no doubt for you too. When you fail, what goes through your mind?

You probably feel various feelings including very low self esteem , anger and possibly even hatred towards those they you may hold personally reasonsible for your failures.

Everyone of us fails in life some many, many more.. Failure is not necessarily a bad thing; sure it is unpleasant to go through failures in life, but it is all part of the character development process. How can you ever grow and mature as a person if you don’t experience temporary setbacks from time to time.

It took me 6 times to pass my drivers education test in high school in obtaining my drivers license. I set the record for the most drivers ed failures in my high-school. Was I embarrassed -sure I was, but did that stop and prevent me from ever obtaining my drivers license and driving a vehicle that I now own? Of course not… I didn't quit and give up. You only fail in life if you throw in the towel and quit.

FORGET

From my professional experience in providing goal setting, (about me) , the first thing you need to do is to forget about the past failures in your life. Yesterday is a cancelled check, today is cold hard cash, and tomorrow is a promissory note. Tomorrow is not guaranteed and furthermore may never arrive so all you have is the now-the present. Forget about what did not work out as planned, why you failed, learn from your mistakes and move on.

ACCEPT Accept why things did not work out as planned and why you did not succeed as planned-regardless as to whether you were victimized or wronged is irrelevant. Accept the facts as facts which is part of the personal growth process in moving forward.

INVESTIGATE

Investigate why you failed in areas of your personal and professional life. Knowing what the specific steps you took will help you to avoid some of the same mistakes moving forward.

LOOK

Look for alternative ways or solutions in reaching your destination. Remember: it took Thomas Edison over 14,000 failed attempts before he perfected the light bulb that the entire world has come to use in our daily lives. Remember: Perseveranc holds the key to Success...

UNDERSTAND

Understand that you are not a failure in life, everyone of us fails at something-some more than others. Understand what you did wrong, and make a mental note what you need to improve upon next moving forward in your smart goals.

RE-EVALUATE

Re-evaluate your overall personal goal setting plan of action, maybe you need to remove some tasks or steps in prioritizing things before you can reach your objective. Think objectively and be honest with yourself regarding where you want to go and how you plan on getting to your ultimate destination. This could be a day, a week or a month process. It is important NOT to rush through this process -so you do not have to revisit failed attempts yet a second time.

ENVISION

Envision yourself, seeing yourself trying again, to not give up on your goal setting plan objectives, regardless of how many times you fail at it. Each step in the right direction pushes you and motivates you to completing and finishing your goals. Little milestones in your accomplishments will be just the push you need in your self motivation . You just need to develop the right positive attitude , the right positive thinking mindset, and to develop the hope and faith in God to push forward.

Remember LIFE is a marathon-not a race!

"If I find 10,000 ways something won't work, I haven't failed. I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward..."

Remember: ”The only Unfulfilled Goals in Your Life are the Ones you Never Attempt”
