Fisher Metal Detectors, Why They Are the Best Metal Detectors
Fisher Metal Detectors-The Best Metal Detector That Money Can Buy
About me , I purchased my first Fisher metal detector in the spring of 1995. My first fisher metal detector was the CZ-6a , and I have been an avid relic hunter since 1998.
During the course of 16 years metal detecting , I have been very fortunate in my metal detecting pursuits, to have owned four (4) separate Fisher metal detectors; (CZ6a, ID-Edge, Coinstrike, & the Fisher F-75.) My personal favorite and what I consider to be the best metal detector of all, the Fisher F75 which I purchased in 2008.

Now I am sure that for many of you who are already in the hobby of metal detecting or who are considering metal detecting, finding the best metal detector, is a akin to finding the holy grail….
The best metal detector is a very subjective term, and all people are different and have their own unique opinions and loyalties to a specific manufacturer.
Just as no two people could probably agree on the best vehicle to purchase and why, so too is the find hobby of metal detecting.
Why Fisher Metal Detectors Are My Preferred Choice for Metal Detecting

Fisher Labsbegan their incredible metal detecting journey in 1931.
Fisher is the oldest and the first metal detector manufacturer to begin operations in the United States as early as 1931 that is still in business today.

Here is a picture of the backside showing the hooks (puppy paws), still intact with a bit of leater still attached
I've attached the actual YOUTUBE video link to see the Yankee belt Buckle literally moments after removing from the ground, which you can view here at this youtube video link.
It is the Fisher Metal Detectors that paved the way for so many other ground breaking electronic advancements in engineering, that have been adopted and engineered to other metal detector manufactures based upon the research that first went into the first metal detector so many years ago.
Fisher metal detectors have a track record for excellence. In the course of 16 years, I only had to send my detector back twice, my F-75 which I purchased in 2008. Fisher metal detectors will always be my preferred choice for metal detector bar none.
There was a defect in the electronics and after sending back to the manufacturer twice, they swapped out the old electronics and put in new electronics in 2009, and I have not had a problem since.
Which Fisher Metal Detector Do I Buy?
Purchasing a new Fisher Metal Detector is a big financial investment, in your money management and smart goals objectives. Before plucking down over a thousand plus dollars for the best metal detector, make sure you have done your homework in your decision making , not only from the financial aspect of cost, but also, what are your metal detecting goals and objectives?
There are a varying array of quality Fisher metal detectors that have specific and unique metal detecting functions. In other words if you reside in rural mid west United States, and are primarily interested in researching old homesteads, old one room school houses, and the occasional gold nugget or two, than there would be no need for your to purchase an underwater Fisher metal detector as best metal detectors for your money.
If you live near the coast along the beach and are primarily interested in finding lost jewelry and old Spanish silver, then maybe you would want to buy an underwater metal detector, the Fisher CZ-21
If however you are seeking gold nuggets, then I highly recommend the Fisher Gold Bug

Fisher Metal Detector Review
Fisher F-75
The F75 in my opinion is the best metal detector on the market today, has all the latest technology, and is a top of the line detector.
It is primarily used for coin and relic hunting. The only down fall, if there is one, is that it is not waterproof.
I have been using this detector since latest 2008, and the depth and accuracy of this metal detector ceases to amaze me.
I frequently recover bullets, buttons and coins at nearly a foot in depth!
I have pulled civil war bullets at nearly 12 inches. Many people have commented about the chatter with this machine, and although there is a background hum, you can cancel out most of the background by lowering the sensitivity and still finds targets.
You can read two of my recently published articles as part of my freelance writing goals regarding my first US Civil War Yankee buckle I recovered, which you can read here.
My second article regarding my recent old coin finds you can read here .
In one hunting situation, I dug a hole and pulled out a square nail, and located a nice General Service Eagle button directly below the nail. The detector hit on both targets.
You just need to develop the self confidence in really understanding your machine. Some F-75 Features include:
• Large LCD screen with target identification display
• Double-filter discrimination modes for searching trashy areas
• Ground cancellation trigger-actuated FASTGRAB?
• Magnetic mineralization bar graph read out
• Trigger-actuated target pinpointing with variable audio pitch
