Why I decided to develop this website Personal-Goal-Setting.com Hello! My name is Wayne Hartzell, and welcome to my home business website: Personal-Goal-Setting.com. The picture was taken a few years ago while I was in working in Bangladesh with CARE. I created this work at home business website as a result from my 10 years plus professional experience in corporate/non-profit industry, strategic planning, and goal-setting experience. I am always amazed how little industry leaders know about strategic planning and goal setting in general and how to plan and strategize to maximize their organization’s optimal potential. I also have over 2 years experience as a consultant, in providing personal goal setting advise to individuals from all walks of life in various background settings. My professional educational background is in Public Health (Masters Health Education) which I completed in 1996. My professional domestic and international health experience has been working in the NGO/non-profit sector and small private industry. I absolutely loved my work living and working overseas in India and most recently Bangladesh where I spent nearly three years; two culturally rich and diverse countries...... But.... I really became disillusioned with the current employment model structure for Senior Program Managers (which I was), working 60-80 hours plus a week, competing deadlines, timelines for submitting donor reports, site visit reports, making field visits and chasing after new RFPs. It was during this time and period that a lot of my “peripheral” work involved NGO goal setting and strategic planning which I really enjoy. Working with a team and trying to develop program goals and benchmarks for various public health program entities and strategic planning....this part of my job I absolutely love and thrive in..... It seemed that I was always the one involved in these strategic planning sessions, in goal setting strategies and fortunately I was able to make a positive contribution to these various organizations in their strategic planning/goal setting objectives.... But...this was just a microcosm of my "many"daily activities in putting out fires with donors, program staff, and the litany of other responsibilities that I held in managing program activities and budgets.
