About me , I have had my own successful work at home business , website since June 2009, and during this time, I have learned a thing or two about how to sell, and about online sales and internet sales in general.

For all of 2011 my site netted me approximately $500.00 US dollars which was a combination between advertising revenue and from monies I received from my freelance writing.
This year, I should double or even triple my earnings and have already been paid this month $125.00 from an advertiser for placing a one year ad on my site due to my high traffic stats.

I think one of the biggest stumbling blocks from my experience in owning, running and managing my own successful business, is that many people are trying to sell their product and/or service to others without owning the very product or service themselves, this is especially true regarding online sales and internet sales in general that has overtaken the global ecommerce craze. But from my experience, the only truly successful people online or offline who are selling anything, actually own the product they are selling and promoting. There is such a thing as the credibility factor , and people are savvy and smart enough to enough if you are sincere in your honesty , in your business communication , or whether you are lying and are a sham and a phony.
My question to you is, how can you be effective in any sales, online sales, internet sales, or selling a car at your local dealership, if you do not own the very product and/or service that you are promoting? The age old secret in how to succeed in sales, in knowing how to sell, is to own the product or service yourself.
Only then can you inform your visitors and would be customers of all the benefits and value that the product or service provides by your passion . You can’t fake passion, either you have it or you do not.
To Be Successful in How to Sell, You Need to Know Your Audience
This may sound over simplified to many, but I can overstate the importance of knowing who your audience is that you are selling to. How to sell successfully, you have to know who your audience is. Are you targeting the stay at home mothers, the work at home moms WAHMs or retirees , or students in your business?
Understand who your market is, and develop a sound marketing plan around targeting the specific demographics of your target market. Each demographic target group has its own unique set of variables unique to that target niche. It is your job to research and understand who your market audience is, then develop a sound marketing plan that addresses your specific target audiences needs that your product or service hopes to offer a solution in solving your potential customers problems in life, this is how to sell effectively.
And having the self discipline , along with ample amount of self confidence doesn’t hurt either as you learn how to sell and develop a marketing plan to accomplish your online sales and internet sales goals. Your business is waiting....
